This is my DRAFTING & ENINEERING page.
Drafting & engineering is one of my electives. We draw pictures as if we were going to give them to an architect and have them build it.

This tool is probably the most commonly used in drafting in class & around the real world. If you look closely you can tell that it has multiple sides & they each is a different scale and they have different measurements, which is why it is used so much. You can use this to measure A line or a text box or anything you need to. I have never used this tool before drafting class so it was nice to learn how to use it.
Hidden lines & Dimensions

One thing we have recently started to do in drafting is dimensioning our drawings & putting hidden lines in. The way you add dimensions is you measure a certain distance away from the object lines and use the arrow tempate to draw the arrows. You have to make sure they are perfect so that is a little hard. Using the arrow template, the t-square, and a scale you can make perfect dimensions. Hidden lines stand for lines that you can't see from a certain angle. Hidden lines are extremely helpful to the man who is to build my drawing, so h ecan actually put the drawing together. When you add hidden lines you use the eraser shield and use the dotted lines hole. You just hold it over the line you want to be hidden and gently erase over the eraser shield. You only put hidden lines on the views that you can't see something. Hidden lines are tricky at first but easy now.
